I don't believe one teacher's sexual misconduct should taint all teachers in the same light. This has happened before and it may happens again. In a society where this generation is exposed to open information, you can say Guyanese are catching up on western culture where teachers and students are falling in love or having sexual affairs.

However, the teacher who is 39 years old is twice as old as his two former students. He should have been able to set better examples. He lied during the course of the investigation which is worse. He even put his whole teaching career on the line in the name of sex.

This story will definitely put an unnecessary burden on the education system and to young students across the country.
