Police capture bandits, recover gun after Rose Hall money-changers robbed

In a brazen daylight robbery, two armed and masked men robbed two popular money-changers in Rose Hall, Corentyne yesterday morning.
According to reports, the perpetrators were nabbed by law enforcement officers,bandits snatch moments after committing the daring act.
Reports stated that around 08:15 hrs, the armed men approached the money-changers and held them at gunpoint while demanding that they hand over their cash.
The men, Parsaram Sukraj and Anil Kumar Sukraj, after complying with the demands were placed to lie on the road while the bandits escaped on foot.
However, swift action by the police led to the capture of the two suspects. One of them, 21-year-old Curt Batson of Market Street, Rose Hall was wanted in connection with a spate of robberies that took place in the said area over the past few weeks.
The other suspect is 19-year-old Kelvin Bates. The police also managed to retrieve a .32 pistol and 5 rounds from the perpetrators.
Investigations are ongoing.
