I knew Godfrey Statia back in the day when he joined the GRA (IRD) as a young inspector from UG.

Anyway. it is good to see the institutions do stand-up and push back against the excesses of the PNC.

We should take some comfort to know these institutions, even though many PPP people were thrown out, the PNC don't get a free rein.

However, the GRA could conduct their own investigation on assets owned and reconcile to reported incomes over time and require the target justify any material discrepancies. This is SOP the world over to stem tax evasion!
