According to the Institute of International Education and U.S. Dept. of State, there now there were around 720,000 international students at U.S. colleges in the 2011 academic year. They estimate that these students contribute $21 billion to the economy through tuition and spending.  

Also when you cite sources ensure that they back your claim.  This says international students, which includes those in undergrad courses studying who knows what.

The USA has an economy 12X the south of South Korea's, yet doesn't even produce double the engineers.  It is quite clear then that SK trains almost all of those that it needs and likely also trains others coming from other Asian countries.
